Product Spotlight: How to Repair, Treat, and Fix Damaged Hair with K18's Treatment Repair Mask

Product Spotlight: How to Repair, Treat, and Fix Damaged Hair with K18's Treatment Repair Mask

The whole point of using products to repair and treat damaged hair is to actually do just that... Repair it, Treat it, and Fix it, instead of applying a band aid solution that simply covers up the problem instead of correcting it. Don't get us wrong, there are wonderful products out there that condition, moisturize, and nourish the hair but the results can be temporary and require consistent maintenance. The difference between K18 and some other hair repair products is that we're not just addressing the cosmetic/exterior look of the hair necessarily. We're targeting the root problem and getting to the bottom of everyone's difficulty at some point in their life... To repair, treat, and fix damaged hair.

When hair gets damaged, whether it be from coloring,/bleaching, environmental factors like sun damage or pollution, friction from brushing and hair ties, or heat styling, the inner structure and layers of the hair weakens and is more prone to breakage. Said differently, the hair loses its resiliency and faces loss of shine, less elasticity, more frizz, and other undesired results. K18's answer to this has been special bioactive peptides that travel deeper into the inner layers of hair than traditional repair products that may not penetrate deep enough and simply coat the hair.

Now what are "special bioactive peptides.." K18 describes their formula as a revolutionary peptide that penetrates the hair shaft into the inner layers to reconnect and bond any broken keratin chains that makeup the inner structure. It goes directly to the source of the breakage.

As you can see above, traditional bond repair products stop short. By targeting the root problem, that is keratin chains inside the hair's structure, we directly repair the hair's strength for soft, more resilient, smooth, and bouncy hair. "Think about it this way, maybe you have a car with lots of dents. Sure, it’s not pretty, but a dent doesn’t mean the engine is broken. In the same way, if the engine goes out or isn’t maintained, fixing a dent on the outside of your car won’t matter much. You can have the nicest car or hair exterior in the world, but it doesn’t matter if the inner engine is broken" -K18hair As we said before, the goal might be to make our hair look good and therefore we invest in products that do style and reverse our hair's damage but, without addressing the root problem, we're simply applying a band aid.

Overall, the revolution is about taking the conversation beyond hair looking good to being about creating healthy hair from the inside out, which is what makes it look and feel oh so good!
